Modular Direct-View LED Cabinet System

Each YOLO TV system consists of individual LED cabinet modules that form a seamless display surface. Panels are precision-manufactured with sub-1mm tolerances and front-serviceable components.

Unlike consumer televisions, these systems are designed for permanent integration into residential architecture with consideration for structural load, thermal management, and long-term serviceability.

Key Engineering Characteristics

  • Sub-millimeter alignment tolerances
  • Front-serviceable components
  • Structural mounting frame integration
  • Dedicated processor architecture
  • Thermal management engineered for indoor and outdoor environments

Unlike Consumer Televisions, These Systems Are Designed For:

  • Structural load planning
  • Electrical rough-in coordination
  • AV integration during construction
  • Long-term serviceability

Structural & Mounting Requirements

Proper structural support and mounting systems are critical for long-term performance and safety.

What is it like to install a YOLO TV for the 1st time?
Interior Wall-Mounted Systems

Structural Backing & Reinforcement

Indoor LED walls require structural backing rated for 4–6 lbs/sq ft depending on cabinet type and pixel pitch. Backing must be installed during framing stage.

Screen Size Panel Weight Backing Required
115"–138" 4–6 lbs/sq ft ¾" plywood or 2x6 blocking
158"–220" 4–6 lbs/sq ft Double 2x6 blocking, 16" o.c.
220"–317"+ 4–6 lbs/sq ft Steel frame or engineered backing

Note: All client-built structures in seismic zones 3–4 should be built to engineer-stamped drawings specifications.

Outdoor Installations

Weather & Wind Load

YOLO TV outdoor systems are IP65 or IP66-rated rated to resist harsh weather. Each module is crafted with aluminum and carbon fiber and engineered wind-load resistant.

Wind Load Resistance

Engineered for 90–180+ mph depending on location. Structure requires wind load calculations per local code.

Thermal Management

Active cooling systems required. Internal temperature: -20°F to 120°F ambient.

Drainage & Moisture

Integrated drainage channels and moisture barriers prevent water accumulation.

Corrosion Protection

Marine-grade aluminum, carbon fiber and sealed enclosures suitable for coastal installations.

Power & Electrical Requirements

Dedicated circuits and surge protection are required for all installations.

Voltage, Amperage & Circuit Requirements

System Size Voltage Max Amperage Circuit Required
108"–138" 120V / 240V 30A/20A Dedicated circuit
158"–202" 240V 20–30A Dedicated 30A circuit
220"–317"+ 240V 30–50A Dedicated 50A circuit

Recommended Electrical Components

  • Dedicated circuit breaker (no shared loads)
  • Whole-system surge protection (TVSS)
  • Conduit routing from panel to equipment location
  • Ground fault protection for outdoor installations
  • Emergency disconnect within 10 ft of display

Data & Signal Requirements

Proper signal infrastructure ensures optimal display performance and long-term reliability.

How are YOLO TVs different?
Signal Infrastructure

Cat6 & Fiber Recommendations

YOLO TV systems require high-bandwidth signal paths to support 4K/8K content, HDR, and high refresh rates.

Cable Type Max Distance Recommended Use
Cat6/Cat6a 300 ft Control systems, network integration
Fiber (Cat6 over fiber) 1,000+ ft Long runs, outdoor installations

Signal Flow Path

Source (Media Player, Cable Box, Streaming Device) → Video Processor → LED Controller → LED Panels

All YOLO TV systems include a dedicated video processor for signal conversion, scaling, and color calibration.

Rise™ Lift System Engineering

Automated lift and concealment systems require detailed coordination during design and construction phases.

The Rise™ In-Ground System

Vault Construction & Drainage

The Rise™ system deploys LED displays from a concealed below-grade vault. Vault construction requires:

Vault Dimensions

Vault dimensions dependent upon size of TV system.

Drainage System

Perimeter drainage channel with slope to sump or daylight.

Power & Control

Dedicated 240V circuit for TV system. 120V circuit for lift motor.

Linear Actuator

Heavy-duty actuator system with 3"–36" travel. Rated for 500+ lbs panel weight. Emergency manual override included.

Critical Coordination Considerations

Rise™ installations require coordination with:

  • Structural engineer (vault load calculations)
  • Civil engineer (drainage design)
  • Landscape architect (socket cover/cladding)
  • Electrical contractor (power and control)
  • Automation integrator (Control4, Crestron, Savant)
Rise & Rotate™

Rotational Lift System

Adds 180° rotation capability to vertical lift deployment. Enables dual viewing zones from a single display.

Requires additional structural engineering for rotational load and wind resistance. Mechanical joint rated for 1,000+ cycles. Rotation speed adjustable 5–30 seconds per 180° rotation.

Ideal for: Pool + patio configurations, outdoor kitchen + lounge layouts, multi-direction entertainment spaces.

RISE ON-THE-GO™

Mobile Lift System

Self-contained mobile structure providing Rise™ functionality without permanent in-ground vault installation.

Base footprint: 8' × 4' × 6'H (varies by screen size). Steel frame construction with powder-coated finish. Integrated power distribution and control. Weatherproof enclosure.

Designed for: High-end rental properties, event-driven entertainment, rooftop terraces, properties where permanent vaulting is not feasible.

Note: Requires 240V power connection and level surface. Optional anchor points for high-wind applications.

Viewing Distance & Pixel Pitch

Proper screen size and pixel pitch selection depends on viewing distance and content type.
