Meet Brian Bachman | Founding Partner, YOLO TVs

We had the good fortune of connecting with Brian Bachman and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Brian, how did you come up with the idea for your business?

We originally rented large LED TVs for festivals, church gatherings, and playoff games. Occasionally, people would ask if we’d ever considered installing these in backyards. While we had done a few permanent installations at restaurants, we hadn’t explored residential setups until COVID hit. When everything shut down, all our rental events were canceled—no races, no festivals—leaving us with the time and opportunity to pivot. That’s when YOLO (Your Outdoor Living Oasis) was born. We completed our first permanent installation for a homeowner in Las Vegas, and from there, the business took off.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?

My career has been an exciting journey, blending my love for sports and broadcasting with the passion for creating extraordinary outdoor experiences. Coming from a background as a sports anchor and news reporter, I’ve always understood the thrill of a stadium atmosphere. That desire to replicate the excitement of a live event at home became even more relevant when people began spending more time at home for work, school, and leisure. This shift inspired me to create YOLO TV—Your Outdoor Living Oasis. I have over 25 years experience with LED technology working for competitors and starting my own TV rental business for running events, festivals and city events. But everything shifted during COVID and so did my business. Without public events the rental industry took a hit- and we needed to pivot.

YOLO TV was born out of the need to bring that immersive stadium experience to people’s backyards-where more people started staying home to work and play. Unlike anything you’d find at a big box store, we specialize in giant outdoor TVs, sizes ranging from 115 to 317 inches. Our offerings include a variety of mounting options, including wall, pole, and ground mounts, as well as our innovative product, The Rise, which emerges from the ground using a hydraulic lift—perfect for those who prefer a clean, concealed look when the TV isn’t in use.

What sets YOLO TV apart is not just the size and quality of our TVs but the fact that they are engineered to be daylight-bright and completely glare-free, so you can enjoy movies by the pool or catch a game without worrying about the sun. Our TVs are designed to withstand the harshest elements—sun, wind, rain, snow, or hail. We have installations across the country in various climates, and each TV is custom-engineered for its specific environment. We also stand behind our products with a 5-year transferable warranty on parts, giving our customers peace of mind.

Getting to where I am today wasn’t easy; it required a lot of perseverance and learning to adapt to new challenges. My biggest lesson is the importance of innovation and listening to what people really want. I’m most proud of how YOLO TV has become synonymous with luxury outdoor living and creating spaces that everyone talks about.

I want the world to know that YOLO TV isn’t just about creating a beautiful backyard—it’s about transforming how people experience their outdoor spaces. We’re here to help you live your best life, bringing the magic of the stadium or movie theatre to your home.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?

I grew up in Dallas and have a deep love for everything the metroplex has to offer. We’d start the day with a delicious breakfast at The Henry in Uptown, known for its cozy atmosphere and fantastic brunch menu. Then, we’d head over to the Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden to take in the stunning views of White Rock Lake—where I grew up!

No trip to DFW would be complete without indulging in some authentic Texas BBQ, so we’d stop by Pecan Lodge in Deep Ellum, a must-visit spot for smoked meats. Afterward, we’d spend the afternoon exploring the Dallas Museum of Art and top off the day with dinner at Uchi, where the sushi and contemporary dishes are unforgettable. The nightlife in Deep Ellum is vibrant, with live music, bars, and street art, making it the perfect place to wind down the evening.

Since my wife and I love Provender Hall in Fort Worth, we’d need to make a trip to see the sights at the Fort Worth Stockyards and enjoy lunch at Joe T. Garcia’s, where the authentic Tex-Mex and margaritas are a must. Fort Worth’s Cultural District is rich with history and art, and we’d immerse ourselves in the experience with a Segway tour from Cowtown Segway Adventures.

Back in Dallas, we’d have dinner at Al Biernat’s, followed by a trip to the top of Reunion Tower for panoramic views of the Dallas skyline at night. A visit to the Sixth Floor Museum at Dealey Plaza would be on the agenda, and we’d enjoy lunch at either Sonny Bryan’s Smokehouse for classic BBQ or Ocean Prime for something a bit more upscale. For a bit of shopping, we’d spend the morning at NorthPark Center, one of Dallas’s premier malls.

To add a touch of relaxation, I’d treat my friend to a spa day at the Ritz-Carlton, complete with massages and facials. We’d enjoy dinner at Javier’s Gourmet Mexicano, and then unwind at Klyde Warren Park, where we might catch a concert or movie under the stars. We’d end the week with a memorable dinner at my favorite spot, Nick & Sam’s, known for its lively atmosphere, exceptional service, and the best steak in town. We could cap off the night with live music at The Rustic or catch a Cowboys or Rangers game, depending on the season.

Of course, we’d have to finish the visit with a stop at one of Dallas’s iconic outdoor patios, and the Katy Trail Ice House is always on my itinerary!
